PlaNet Finance is an international non-profit organization dedicated to the development of microfinance through the provision of technical assistance and consulting services to the microfinance and banking sector. PlaNet Finance develops and animates networks of MFIs, experts and local actors in order to support the development of men and women professional projects.
About the Job:
PlaNet Finance is looking for a Resident Advisor SME Banking – Ghana. S/he will be responsible to provide to a local Ghanean Bank with support for the expansion of its financial services to MSMEs. This is a 12 months project with a possibility of 12 months renewal.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Work under the responsibility of the project manager;
- Provide expertise in SME Risk Management and lead the risk working group on the project;
- Responsible of the bank institutional diagnostic phase;
- Training of bank staff on SME lending and risk management;
- Day-to-day coaching, coordination, and monitoring during the different activities;
- Permanent representative of PlaNet Finance team on the project.
Qualifications:
- Banking, Engineer or Finance Diploma (Master degree or equivalent);
- At least 5 to 10 years of experience in SME banking, bank diagnosis and risk management;
- Deep knowledge of Ghanaian and African SME market. Ghanaian or regional experts will be a plus;
- An experience as project management or consulting work is an advantage;
- Quality and client-satisfaction focused. Capacity to ask the right questions, identify, and implement solutions;
- Detail-oriented, focused and organized. Ability to anticipate, prioritize, and manage tasks;
- English speaker with oral and written communication skills;

- Understand and anticipate clients’ expectations;
- Ability to work within international team and in an autonomous manner;
- Respect planning and ensure high quality results in difficult working environments.
